Eagles Release WR Arrelious Benn From IR With Injury Settlement

The Philadelphia Eagles released veteran WR Arrelious Benn from injured reserve Saturday with an injury settlement.

Benn, 25, was traded to the Eagles from Tampa Bay in return for a 2013 sixth-round pick and a 2014 conditional selection.

Benn unfortunately suffered a torn ACL last August, which subsequently forced him to miss the entire 2013 season.

The Eagles once again placed him on injured reserve close to a week ago, but as soon as he was healthy, it appeared as though they would grant him his released.

He last appeared in an NFL game during the 2012 season while playing for the Buccaneers.
