Eagles Sign CB De’Vante Bausby To PS, Release WR Greg Ward

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Tuesday that they’ve signed CB De’Vante Bausby to their practice squad and released WR Greg Ward from the unit.

The Eagles’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. C Josh Andrews (Exception)
  2. TE Billy Brown
  3. LB Nate Gerry
  4. T Dillon Gordon
  5. DT Justin Hamilton
  6. RB Byron Marshall
  7. CB C.J. Smith (Exception)
  8. QB Nate Sudfeld
  9. WR Bryce Treggs (Exception)
  10. CB De’Vante Bausby

Bausby, 24, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh State back in May of 2015. He lasted just over a month in Kansas City before he waived and later signed to the Bears’ practice squad.

Chicago elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract but he was once again added to their practice squad after being among their final roster cuts. The Bears promoted him to their active roster before cutting him loose and re-signing him to their practice squad last year.

The Chiefs signed him to a contract shortly after this year’s draft but cut him loose this past weekend.

In 2016, Bausby appeared in three games and recorded 12 tackles and no interceptions.
