Adam Schefter reports that the Eagles and veteran LB Stephen Tulloch are in “heavy negotiations” regarding a deal.

According to Schefter, the two parties could have a deal in place at some point in the near future.

It’s worth mentioning that Dave Birkett reported that Tulloch underwent an offseason ankle surgery and was unable to pass a physical on Tuesday.

Eagles have long been speculated as a team to watch for Tulloch, considering that former Lions HC Jim Schwartz is now running the Eagles’ defense.

Tulloch, 31, is a former fourth-round pick of the Titans back in 2006. After five years in Tennessee, Tulloch signed on with the Lions spent another five years in Detroit before being released a few months ago.

In 2015, Tulloch appeared in all 16 games and recorded 108 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, two recoveries and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 54 linebacker out of 97 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
