The Philadelphia Eagles have waived veteran WRย Miles Austin on Monday, according to Howard Eskin.
- Eskin mentions that there was someย pressure from within on HC Chip Kelly wasย to cut Austin.
Austin, 31, signed a one-year, $2.3 million contractย that includedย $1 million guaranteed with the Eagles back in March.
Andrew Brandt points out that as a vested veteran, Austin is entitled to the remainder of his $1 million salary.
This season, Austin has appeared in 11 games and caught 13 passes for 224 yards receiving and a single touchdown for Philadelphia.
