The Philadelphia Eagles waive/injured OLB Emmanuel Acho due to a hand injury on Thursday, according to Zach Berman.
- Acho underwent thumb surgery earlier this week, according to Jeff McLane.
Assuming Acho clears waivers, he would likely revert to the Eagles’ injured reserve list.
Acho, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Browns back in 2012. He spent one year in Cleveland before he was traded to the Eagles in return for RB Dion Lewis.
Acho had a brief stint with the Giants before returning to the Eagles in October of 2013. Philadelphia elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract back in January.
Last year, Acho appeared in 14 games for the Eagles and recorded 31 tackles.
