The Eagles are still gathering medical opinions regarding Jeffery’s foot injury, but he will miss the remainder of the season.
Last night, a source told Garafolo that Jeffery felt something pop, but it didn’t sound like is an Achilles injury. However, he was undergoing an MRI to confirm the severity of the issue.
Earlier in the day, Doug Pederson told reporters that Jeffery’s injury was more significant than Lane Johnson’s.
You can expect the Eagles to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.
Jeffery, 29, was taken in the second round of the 2012 NFL draft by the Bears. He played out the final year of his four-year, $4.54 million rookie contract with Chicago before agreeing to a one-year, $9.5 million contract with the Eagles in 2017.
Jeffery later signed a four-year, $52 million deal with Philadelphia and will make a base salary of $11,750,000 for the 2019 season.
In 2019, Jeffery appeared in 10 games for the Eagles and caught 43 passes for 490 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for two yards and a touchdown.
