Falcons RB Devonta Freeman & DT Grady Jarrett Out For Week 6

Jordan Schultz reports that Falcons RB Devonta Freeman is out for Week 6’s game against the Buccaneers.

Falcons HC Dan Quinn confirmed that Freeman is out along with DT Grady Jarrett (ankle).

Earlier in the week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that Freeman is dealing with a bone contusion in his foot and his Week 6 status is in doubt.

Freeman, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Falcons back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.7 million contract when he and the Falcons agreed to a five-year, $41.25 million extension that included $22 million guaranteed last year.

Freeman stands to make base salaries of $2 million and $3.75 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Freeman has appeared two games and rushed for 68 yards on 14 carries (4.96 YPC) to go along with five receptions for 23 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Freeman as the news is available.
