Falcons RB Devonta Freeman’s Week 6 Status In Doubt Due To Bone Contusion

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Falcons RB Devonta Freeman is dealing with a bone contusion in his foot and his Week 6 status is in doubt.

The good news for Freeman is that he was able to do some work during practice off to the side.

Freeman, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Falcons back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.7 million contract when he and the Falcons agreed to a five-year, $41.25 million extension that included $22 million guaranteed last year.

Freeman stands to make base salaries of $2 million and $3.75 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Freeman has appeared two games and rushed for 68 yards on 14 carries (4.96 YPC) to go along with five receptions for 23 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
