Vaughn McClure had said previously that Schofield was someone to keep an eye for the Falcons this offseason given their need for a pass-rusher and the fact that he spent time working with Dan Quinn in Seattle.
Schofield, 27, appeared in all 16 games for the Seahawks last year and recorded 21 tackles, three sacks and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 26 outside linebacker out of 59 qualifying players.
We had Schofield listed as the No. 71 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
