Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Falcons have re-signed S Charles Godfrey to a one-year, $965,000 deal on Monday.
Godfrey, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Panthers back in 2008. He spent six year in Carolina before he was released during the 2013 season and later signed by the Falcons.
Godfrey has returned to Atlanta each of the past two seasons.
In 2015, Godfrey appeared in eight games and recorded 12 tackles, a forced fumble and a pass defense while playing a total of 145 snaps.
