Ravens Offensive Coordinator Rumors

Update:

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that the Ravens will interview Broncos OC Adam Gase in Baltimore Monday evening.

Jason La Canfora would be “shocked” if former Bills HC Doug Marrone was not one of the first candidates to interview for the Ravens  offensive coordinator vacancy.

Many assumed that Kyle Shanahan would be in the mix for the job after Gary Kubiak left for the Broncos’ head-coaching position. However, reports from Sunday night mentioned that he will be taking over as the Falcons offensive coordinator under Dan Quinn.

Aaron Wilson suggested that former Broncos OC Adam Gase and QBs coach Greg Knapp as two candidates to keep an eye on in the coming days.

Jamison Hensley of ESPN took a look at some potential coordinators for the Raven’s offensive coordinator position.

  • Ex-Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase.
  • Ex-Bears head coach Marc Trestman.
  • Broncos quarterbacks coach Greg Knapp.
  • Ex-Jets offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg.
  • Ex-Bills senior offensive assistant Jim Hostler.
  • Ex-Bills offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
  • Ex-Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson.
  • Colts special assistant Rob Chudzinski.

There is a great deal of competition for offensive coordinators right now, but the Ravens have a lot to offer in terms of their offense and overall team structure that it would not be surprising to see them fill this job sooner rather than later.

We’ll have more updates regarding the Ravens’ offensive coordinator job as the news is available.
