Former Seahawks CB Brandon Browner Arrested For Making Criminal Threats

TMZ Sports is reporting that former Seahawks CB Brandon Browner was arrested in Los Angeles on Monday night for allegedly making criminal threats against a woman, which is considered a felony.

Browner was taken into custody and later posted bail of $50,000.

Browner sat out the entire 2016 season and it’s likely his NFL career is over.

Browner, 33, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State back in 2005. He later played four years in the CFL before signing on with the Seahawks in 2011.

Browner left Seattle for a deal with the Patriots, but spent just one season in New England. After a failed experiment with the Saints, Browner returned to the Seahawks last April but was cut loose at the start of the season.

In 2015, Browner appeared in all 16 games and recorded 76 tackles, one interception, a fumble recovery and 10 pass defenses for the Saints. Pro Football Focus rated him as No. 111 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players in 2015.
