Former Seahawks CB Tharold Simon To Tryout For Bears During Minicamp

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that former Seahawks CB Tharold Simon is expected to participate in Bears’ minicamp on a tryout basis this week.

Simon, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2013. The Seahawks waived him a few weeks into the 2016 regular season and was later claimed off of waivers by the Cardinals.

Arizona later waived Simon and he eventually signed a futures contract with the Redskins after the season.

While Simon has shown some ability in the past, he’s dealt with numerous injuries since entering the NFL, which has led to him appearing in just 20 total games.

In 2016, Simon appeared in nine games and recorded six tackles and no interceptions.
