Free Agent CB Terence Newman Deciding Between The Bengals & Raiders

On Monday, free agent CB Terence Newman tweeted that he expects to sign with either the Bengals or Raiders by the end of the week, via the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Newman, 35, is coming off a very productive season for the Bengals and should feel fortunate that he has options at this point in his career given that other cornerbacks have really struggled on the open market this year.

The Bengals have said that they would like to retain Newman and fellow CB Adam Jones, but Oakland has to find some help at cornerback. The Raiders have limited cap space to work with, so signing someone like Newman might make more sense for them than the Bengals, as Cincinnati has the most cap space of any team in the league.
