Giants Claim LB Joey Alfieri Off Waivers From Eagles

Matt Lombardo reports that the Giants have claimed LB Joey Alfieri off of waivers from the Eagles on Saturday.

Other roster moves for the Giants include:

• Giants signed DL Terrence Fede. (NFLTR)
• Giants waived LB Mark McLaurin with an injury designation. (NFLTR) 

Alfieri, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Stanford back in May. He later agreed to a three, $1.755 million contract with the Eagles.

However, Philadelphia elected to place Alfieri on waivers Friday.

During his college career at Stanford, Alfieri recorded 156 tackles, 12 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, two recoveries and four pass defenses over the course of 47 games and four seasons.
