Giants Promote TE Garrett Dickerson, Place TE Scott Simonson On IR

According to Pat Leonard, the Giants have promoted TE Garrett Dickerson from their practice squad and placed TE Scott Simonson on injured reserve.

Dickerson, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Northwestern and later signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Giants in June of last year. Unfortunately, he was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the team’s practice squad.

New York cut him from their practice squad in October but re-signed him a month later.

He has yet to record an NFL statistic.

During his four-year college career at Northwestern, Dickerson caught 88 passes for 896 yards receiving and nine touchdowns over the course of 36 games.
