Giants Promote Three Including RB Alfred Morris

The New York Giants announced Monday that they’ve promoted DB Montre Hartage, RB Alfred Morris and G Chad Slade to their active roster for tonight’s game against the Buccaneers.

All three players will revert back to the Giants’ practice squad on Tuesday without having to clear waivers.

Morris, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2012. He played four seasons in Washington before signing a two-year, $3.5 million contract with the Cowboys in 2016 that included a $1 million base salary for the 2017 season.

Morris signed a one-year deal for the 2018 season with the 49ers and later returned to the Cowboys. From there, he had a brief stint with the Cardinals last year.

The Giants signed Morris to their practice squad a few months ago.

For his career, Morris has rushed for 5,935 yards on 1,374 (4.3 YPC) to go along with 65 receptions fo 494 yards receiving and 34 touchdowns over the course of eight seasons and 105 games.
