Giants QB Kyle Lauletta Arrested For Failing To Obey Directions From Police

According to Ron Zeitlinger of NJ.com, Giants rookie QB Kyle Lauletta was arrested Tuesday morning while driving to the team’s practice facility in East Rutherford.

Zeitlinger reports that Lauletta failed to obey a police officer’s directions and came close to striking the officer with his vehicle.

The Giants released the following statement regarding Lauletta:

“We are aware of the situation and are in contact with Kyle. We are still gathering information.”

There has been talk in recent weeks about Lauletta possibly taking over for Eli Manning as the Giants’ starting quarterback.

Lauletta, 23, was selected in the fourth round of this year’s draft by the Giants. He signed a four-year, $3,167,700 with the Giants and stands to make a base salary of $485,000 for the 2018 season.

During his four-year college career at Richmond, Lauletta threw for 10,465 yards while completing 63.5 percent of his passes to go along with 73 touchdowns and 35 interceptions over the course of 40 games.
