Giants RB David Wilson Intends To Keep Playing Despite Concerns Regarding Another Neck Injury

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that doctors have told Giants RB David Wilson that he is risk of doing even more damage to his neck if he continues playing football.

Despite the concerns, Wilson expects to continue his career and return tot he Giants next season.

Wilson was placed on the season-ending injured reserve due to a herniated disc in his neck, but doctors believed Wilson has spinal stenosis, which could impact his long-term future in the league.

This will definitely be a topic discussed during the offseason as the Giants will need to ensure that they have better depth at the running back position heading into the 2014 season.

As things stand right now, New York will lean on Peyton Hillis and Andre Brown on Sunday, with Brandon Jacobs dealing with knee and back issues.
