Giants RB Saquon Barkley Getting X-Rays On His Knee

Thew New York Giants announced Sunday that RB Saquon Barkley is getting X-rays performed on his knee. 

New York has since ruled Barkley out for the game. 

Barkley was tackled on the sideline and was unable to put any pressure on his right leg before being helped off by the training staff.

Barkley, 23, is a former first-round pick of the Giants back in 2018. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $31,321,752 rookie contract that included a $20,859,456 signing bonus.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Giants to pick up in 2021.

Entering today’s game, Barkley had appeared in one game and rushed for six yards on 15 carries (0.4 YPC) to go along with six receptions for 60 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
