Giants Re-Sign DT Louis Nix

The New York Giants announced that they’ve re-signed DT Louis Nix to a contract on Wednesday.

This comes just a day after the Giants waived Nix with a failed physical designation.

According to Art Stapleton, Nix was intially waived for failing a physical. However, after he cleared waivers, the re-signed to a new contract.

Nix, 24, was entering the second year of his four-year, $2,852,252 rookie contract when he was among the Texans’ final roster from this past weekend.

The Giants elected to claim him and CB Asa Jackson off of waivers, but wound up cutting them both on Tuesday.

Nix didn’t appear in a single game during the entire 2014 season for the Texans.
