Update:
The Giants announced the signing the CB Walter Thurmond and S Quentin Demps on Sunday afternoon.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Giants have signed CB Walter Thurmond to a one-year deal.
- Jason La Canfora reports that Thurmond’s one-year deal is worth $3.5 million.
- Schefter adds that the Giants will still meet with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie on Sunday.
The Redskins, Buccaneers, 49ers and Jaguars reportedly had interest in Thurmond as well.
Thurmond, 26, has largely been overshadowed by Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner, but he’s a much better player than a No. 3 option on most teams.
Last year, he appeared in 12 games and totaled 32 tackles, one sack, an interception returned for a touchdown, a forced fumble and a recovery. Pro Football Focus has Thurmond ranked as the No. 31 cornerback in the league this season.
We had Thurmond listed as the No. 5 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
