According to Dan Duggan, the Giants have signed OL Malcolm Bunche to the 90-man roster and waived OL Austin Droogsma in a corresponding move.
Droogsma was signed following a successful audition at rookie minicamp in May. He did not play college football but competed in the shot put on Florida State’s track team.
Bunche, 27, signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in 2015. He unfortunately did not make the final roster and was cut coming out of the preseason.
Bunche landed on the Eagles’ practice squad and was re-signed to a futures deal for 2016. The Eagles waived him in August and he was signed by the Jaguars a year later, only to be cut again at the end of the preseason.
Bunche was signed by the Giants in May 2018, but was again waived at the end of the preseason.
Bunche has yet to appear in an NFL game.
