The New York Giants announced Thursday that they’ve signed OL Shane McDermott back to their practice squad and waived WRÂ Da’Ron Brown from the unit.
The Giants’ practice squad now consists of:
- WR Darius Powe
- DEÂ Stansly Maponga
- DE Ishaq Williams
- CBÂ Donte Deayon (injured)
- OT Laurence Gibson
- G Jon HalapioÂ
- LB Eric Pinkins
- DB Michael Hunter
- RBÂ George Winn
- OLÂ Shane McDermott
- WR Kevin Norwood
McDermott, 24, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of last year. He lasted just a few months in Dallas before he was cut and later signed to the Panthers’ practice squad.
The Giants would later sign him to a future/reserve contract this past January. However, he was once again cut loose coming out of the preseason and later signed to the team’s practice squad. McDermott had a brief stint with the Cowboys last month.
McDermott has yet to appear in an NFL game.
