Giants HC Pat Shurmur told reporters on Friday that Daniel Jones will get the start at quarterback for Week 16’s game against the Redskins, “barring anything crazy.”

Jones, 22, was selected by the Giants with the No. 6 overall pick. He agreed to a four-year, $25,664,056 rookie contract that includes $16,684,768 signing bonus.
The Giants will have a fifth-year option to pick up on Jones in 2022.
In 2019, Jones has appeared in 11 games for the Giants and completed 61.6 percent of his passes for 2,374 yards, 18 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
