According to Jordan Raanan of ESPN, the Giants are “taking calls on just about everyone” right now.
Raanan says that CB Janoris Jenkins appears to be the most likely player to be traded before today’s deadline, but if a team were to step up and make them the right offer for guys like S Landon Collins or DE Olivier Vernon, he wouldn’t be surprised to see them moved either.
Raanan adds that the Giants are getting interest from other teams regarding some of their players.
Based on the buzz the past week or so, Jenkins is one of the top trade candidates to watch, as he’s under contract beyond this season and teams are in need of help at cornerback.
There hasn’t been a lot of reports about the Giants moving any offensive players, so the focus will likely be on veteran defenders leading up to the 4 pm EST deadline.
Jenkins, 29 is a former second-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He spent four years with the Rams before signing a five-year, $62.5 million contract that included $28.8 million guaranteed with the Giants.
Jenkins stands to make base salaries of $10.9 million and $10.15 million over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2018, Jenkins has appeared in seven games for the Giants and recorded 33 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble and six pass defenses.
Collins, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Giants back in 2015. He is entering the final year of his four-year, $6.12 million rookieย contract that included $4.459 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $1,269,621 for the 2018 season.
In 2018, Collins has appeared in seven games for the Giants and recorded 57 tackles, no interceptions and four pass defenses.

My reply has nothing to do about the article. Instead, it is in regards to the GMEN offense. Does anyone realize that our offense is on pace for 3-1,000 yard receivers, a 1,000 yard rusher and 4,000 yards passing. The problem with the offense is the OL coach HAL HUNTER, he is the worst at his craft I’ve ever seen. Any QB he has had the responsibility of protecting has gotten mauled by opposing defenses. In 2016 with the Browns McCown and co. were sacked 66 times and that is with Joe Thomas at LT. Before that the Colts’ Luck took a beating behind Hunter’s offensive lines. Hunter is the reason Luck’s shoulder got wrecked. And don’t forget 2010 when the Chargers’ Rivers had the second ranked total offense, but Rivers was sacked 48 times. GMEN need to move on from HeadHunter Hal, if they are considering a future QB in the 2019 NFL draft.
A Bill Callahan type of OL coach would be greatly appreciated. Just ask the Cowboy’s o-line how much they miss his tutelage.
