Giants Tried Out 9 Players Including: LB Khairi Fortt, WR Josh Lenz & LB Adrian Hubbard

The New York Giants brought in a number of players for tryouts this week including LB Khairi Fortt, WR Josh Lenzand OLB Adrian Hubbard, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

Other players who tried out for the Giants include: DL Kwame Geathers, TE Nick Kasa, WR Josh Lenz, LB James Morris, TE Jake Murphy, OT Vinston Painter, and LB Jordan Tripp.

Fortt, 23, was a fourth-round pick of the Saints back in May of last year. However, he lasted just a few months in New Orleans before he was waived and later claimed by the Bengals.

His time in Cincinnati was also short lived, as he was once again cut loose after a month with the team. The Jaguars later signed him off of the Bengals’ practice squad, but he was among their early roster cuts.

In 2014, Fortt appeared in three games and recorded a single tackle.

Lenz, 24, originally signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State back in 2013. He lasted just a few months with the Bears before he was waived and later caught on with the Seahawks.

The Colts wound up bringing him in towards the end of the 2013 season and later signed him to a future/reserve contract in January. Lenz later caught on with the Browns towards the end of May, but was unfortunately among the team’s roster cuts a few weeks ago.

Lenz has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Hubbard, 23, wound up signing on with the Packers as an priority undrafted free agent out of Alabama after the 2014 NFL draft. He was unfortunately unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason last year, but later signed on to the team’s practice squad.

Hubbard has yet to appear in an NFL game.
