Giants Waive LB Nate Harvey With Failed Physical Designation

The New York Giants officially waived linebacker Nate Harvey on Wednesday with a failed physical designation.

Harvey, 23, wound up going undrafted out of East Carolina back in May of last year. He later agreed to a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Giants.

However, Harvey was placed on injured reserve coming out of the preseason and with a knee injury.

During his college career at East Carolina, Harvey appeared in 17 games over the course of two seasons and recorded 47 tackles, 12 sacks, a forced fumble and a recovery.
