The New York Giants officially announced that they’ve waived former first-round OTย Ereck Flowers on Tuesday.

- Giants signed K Marshall Koehn to their practice squad.
The Giants’ practice squad now consists of:
- CB Grant Haley
- OLB Avery Moss
- WR Alonzo Russell
- RB Jhurell Pressley
- OT Victor Salako
- LB Ukeme Eligwe
- RBย Robert Martin
- OT Jylan Ware
- WR Quadree Henderson
- K Marshall Koehn
A report surfaced Monday that the Giants were planning to release Flowers unless a trade surfaced for him before 4pm EST on Tuesday. However, it looks like interestedย teams preferred to wait for him to be released before pursuing him.
Flowers, 24, is a former No. 9 overall pick out of Miami by the Giants in the 2015 NFL Draft. He is the final year of a four-year $14.391 million rookie contract that is fully guaranteed is set to earn a base salary of $2,397,522 for 2018.
The Giants declined to pick up Flowers’ fifth-year option back in May.
In 2018, Flowers has appeared in two games for the Giants.
