The New York Giants officially waived OT Jake Rodgers from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Monday.
Rodgers, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in May of last year. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but later signed on to the Giants’ practice squad at the start of the season.
The Giants elected to bring Rodgers back on a future/reserve contract this past January before waiving him with an injury designation a few weeks ago. After clearing waivers, Rodgers was placed on injured reserve.
He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
