Green Bay S Nick Collins Done For The Season

Tom SilversteinĀ of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Green Bay Packers S Nick Collins is done for the season following a neck injury that he suffered during week two’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Collins underwent aĀ CT scan following the game which came back negative but considering that he suffered a neck injury, it was hard toĀ gaugeĀ whether or not he would be able to return to the team.

Collins has made the Pro Bowl in each of his last three NFL season’s and has been a hugeĀ contributorĀ to their defense so his loss will surely impact the backend of their defense. Charlie Peprah looks to be the guy that will be asked to fill in for Collins as he stepped in for Morgan Burnett last season and played pretty well.

Darren Sharper is still available but I doubt that the Packers would bring him back.
