Jaguars Sign DE Josh Mauro, Waive WR C.J. Board

Update:

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Tuesday that they’ve signed DL Josh Mauro to a contract and waived WR C.J. Board

The Jacksonville Jaguars brought in free agent DL Josh Mauro for a visit on Tuesday, according to Howard Balzer

Josh Mauro

Mauro, 29, originally signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2014. He was later waived and re-signed to their practice squad at the start of the regular season.

The Cardinals eventually signed Mauro off of the Steelers’ practice squad and elected to bring him back on an exclusive rights contract before signing him to a two-year, $5.8 million contract in 2017. From there, he had a brief stint with the Raiders before signing on with the Raiders last year.

In 2019, Mauro appeared in 13 games for the Raiders and recorded 19 tackles, no sacks and a pass defense.

We have him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
