Jaguars Re-Sign WR Rashad Greene, Place WR/KR Jaydon Mickens On IR

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Monday that they’ve re-signed WR Rashad Greene and placed WR/KR Jaydon Mickens on injured reserve.

Greene, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2015. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.523 million contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season when the Jaguars waived him a few weeks into the regular season.

Since then, Greene has been on and off of the Jaguars’ roster.

In 2016, Greene appeared in eight games for the Jaguars and caught five passes for 32 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Mickens, 24, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Washington back in 2016. He was waived at the start of the season and spent his rookie year on their practice squad before returning to the team on a future/reserve contract last year.

The Raiders waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason before eventually cutting him loose with an injury settlement. The Jaguars signed Mickens to their practice squad soon after and he was later promoted to their active roster last season.

In 2018, Mickens has appeared in five games for the Jaguars and totaled 118 kick return yards and another 59 punt return yards and no touchdowns.
