The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Tuesday that they’ve signed K Chase McLaughlin off of the Vikings’ practice squad.
We have signed K Chase McLaughlin off Minnesotaโs practice squad to our active roster.
He will be placed on our exempt/commissioner permission list as he goes through the testing and screening protocols and does not currently count against the 53-man roster. pic.twitter.com/bimVExOxmO

This comes a day after the news that Jaguars K Josh Lambo is out for the season.
McLaughlin, 24, originally signed on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois. He was among Buffalo’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and caught on with the Vikings’ practice squad.
Minnesota wound up cutting him after a week with the team. He later signed on with the Chargers before being released again. He joined the 49ers as a short-term replacement and was later waived. He was claimed by the Colts and signed a one-year extension with the team before later being released.
The Vikings re-signed McLaughlin to their practice squad soon after.
In 2019, McLaughlin appeared in eleven games for the Chargers, Colts, and 49ers. He made 18 of his 23 field goals (78.0) to go along with making all 26 of his extra-point attempts.
