Jaguars Waive RB Roc Thomas From IR With Settlement

The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived RB Roc Thomas from injured reserve with a settlement on Monday, according to Phillip Heilman.

Thomas, 23, signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Jacksonville State in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Vikings and managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.

The Vikings waived Thomas in November, but re-signed him to the practice squad. Thomas returned to Minnesota on a futures contract this past January before being waived a few weeks ago.

The Jaguars signed Thomas to a contract a few weeks ago before waiving him with an injury designation. Thomas reverted to their injured reserve list after clearing waivers.

In 2018, Thomas appeared in five games and rushed for 30 yards on eight carries (3.8 YPC) to go along with two receptions for 21 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
