Jermichael Finley Ok With Being Franchised

The Green Bay Packers have a lot of their young talent locked up but one key player that has yet to be addressed is TE Jermichael Finley who is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

So far the Packers have yet to address their soon-to-be free agent TE but Finley mentioned that he’s ok with the team using their franchise tag on him.

“If they do that, I’m down with that,” Finley told Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “I ain’t going to be [ticked] off. I just love the game, and I was just blessed to be making money. I’m just taking it all in.”

Finley seems to enjoy being in Green Bay despite the fact that there’s not that much to do.

You can’t ask for a better city just because there’s nothing to do, for one thing,” Finley said. “I’m going to be real with you, there’s less trouble you can get into. It’s first class in everything they do — contracts, around the building — everything’s first class.”

So far Finley has been an effective weapon but opposing team have looked to remove him from the teams game plan which has forced Aaron Rodgers to throw to his receivers more. The fact that Finley is open to the tag makes it seem even more likely that the Packers will use their tag on him during the offseason.
