Update: Jermichael Finley Suffered A “Mild” Concussion

Jason Wilde adds that Finley should be able to practice in full tomorrow.

Pete Dougherty tweets that Jermichael Finley returned to the Packers practice on a limited basis today.

It’s obviously a great sign that he’s already back on the field practicing after just a few days following the concussion. It wasn’t believed to be that serious, but head injuries in general are worth proceeding with caution. After all, it’s still only July.

Green Bay Packers TE Jermichael Finley suffered a “mild” concussion during the team’s first practice yesterday, according to Finley’s wife Courtney.

The Packers will likely keep him out of action for the next few days as a precaution. Certainly this isn’t the type of thing that you’d like to be reading about after the team’s first practice, but it really doesn’t seem like a huge issue when you consider that Finely doesn’t have a history of concussions. We’ll see how things go from here.
