Burnett, 21, originally signed on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of USC back in May. He was among Tennessee’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and signed with the Jets’ practice squad a couple of days later.

New York elected to waive him from their taxi squad shortly after signing him, then re-signed him once again after a few days.

During his three-year college career, Burnett recorded 152 receptions for 1,897 yards receiving (12.5 YPC) and 16 touchdowns.
