Jets Officially Re-Sign OL Ben Ijalana To One-Year Deal

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Jets are re-signing OL Ben Ijalana to a one-year contract.

The New York Jets finally announced their agreement with Ijalana on Thursday, despite the fact that the move was reported nearly a month ago.

Ijalana, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Colts back in 2011. He lasted just over a year in Indianapolis before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Jets.

Ijalana signed a two-year, $11 million contract with the Jets last year and was set to make a base salary of $4.5 million for the 2018 season. However, the Jets declined his option.

In 2017, Ijalana was active for 11 games and played a total of 56 snaps for the Jets, according to Pro Football Focus.
