Jets Rookie LB Blake Cashman Out For Season With Shoulder Injury

According to Manish Mehta, Jets fifth-round rookie LB Blake Cashman has a torn labrum and shoulder fracture that will end his rookie season.

Cashman suffered the injury this week in practice. He’s the latest Jets linebacker to be lost to injury, so expect New York to make a move here in the coming days once Cashman goes to injured reserve.

Cashman, 23, was drafted by the Jets in the fifth round out of Minnesota in the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie deal worth $2.8 million and is set to make base salaries of $495,000 and $585,000 the next two seasons.

In 2019, Cashman appeared in seven games for the Jets and recorded 40 total tackles, half a sack, one fumble recovery and one pass defense.
