Jets Open To Trading S Jamal Adams, Cowboys Have Touched Base

Rich Cimini reports that Jets S Jamal Adams is a “hot name right now” and he wouldn’t be shocked if he gets dealt.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that the Cowboys have touched base with the Jets about Adams. According to Rapoport, Adams has indicated he’s open to a move.
  • Albert Breer hears that the Jets’ asking price for Adams exceeds what the Dolphins got for Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Chris Mortensen says the only untouchable player for the Jets is QB Sam Darnold right now.

Le’Veon Bell is reportedly available as well.

Adams, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Jets back in 2017. He’s in the third year of his four-year contract worth $22,256,084, which includes a signing bonus of $14,326,244.

The contract also has a fifth-year option for the team to consider in 2020.

In 2019, Adams has appeared in seven games for the Jets and recorded 39 tackles, one interception, a defensive touchdown, and five pass defenses.
