Jets Still Considering CB Bashaud Breeland

According to Josina Anderson of ESPN, the Jets are still contemplating interest in free agent CB Bashaud Breeland.

Anderson mentioned last week that the Jets could bring Breeland in for a visit, but it remains to be seen if they’ll actually set something up with him.

Breeland has visited with several teams including the Ravens, Browns, Chiefs, Colts and Cardinals.

Breeland, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.706 million contract and made a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season.

He is testing the free agent market for the first time in his NFL career.

In 2017, Breeland appeared in 14 games for the Redskins and recorded 48 tackles, one interception returned for a touchdown and 16 pass defenses. He also contributed 280 kick return yards. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 54 cornerback out of 120 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
