Jets Waive OL Oday Aboushi

The New York Jets announced Tuesday that they’ve placed former fifth-round OL Oday Aboushi on waivers.

Aboushi served his one-game suspension for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy and was reinstated on Monday. However, it appears as though the Jets had no plans to keep him on their active roster.

Aboushi, 24, is in the third year of his four-year, $2.359 million rookie contract that included a $199,000 signing bonus. He stands to make base salaries of $585,000 and $675,000 over the next two years.

In 2014, Aboushi was active for 15 games.
