We last heard that the New York Jets and Darrelle Revis were discussing how much guaranteed money would be included in his new contract.
Revis’s agent mentioned that the Jets offer included no guaranteed money, which the team has since disputed. Revis has proposed a contract that would include $30 million in guaranteed money which is obviously the number that is holding up any progress between the two parties.
Dan Graziano of NFL Fanhouse reported that talks are still ongoing and that there should be a deal in place before the start of the season. Graziano reported that Revis was going to sign last Wednesday which was obviously not the case so his latest report should be taken with a grain of salt.
