LeGarrette Blount Says Injury Not Serious

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got some good news regarding RB LeGarrette Blount as it’s been confirmed that his groin injury isn’t serious in nature.

In last night’s 30-17 defeat against the Titans, Blount took a hit from safety Al Afalava to his left leg, which caused him to limp of the field in what was expected to be a leg injury. It was later confirmed that he had suffered a groin injury and no damage to his knee.

“I just took a hit on the side. It just tweaked my groin a little bit,” said Blount, via Stephen Holder of the Tampa Bay Times. “I mean, it hurt. It’s just something we’re going to have to look into (Saturday).”

It should be noted that most starters had already been pulled out of the game, yet Blount was still on the field in the 2nd quarter. Doug Martin looked like the more effective running back last night, but all indications suggest that they would like to give Blount a decent share of the workload.
