Lions Name Darrell Bevell Interim Head Coach

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Lions have named offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell the team’s interim head coach now that they’ve fired Matt Patricia

The Lions also fired GM Bob Quinn on Saturday.

Bevell, 50, began his NFL coaching career with the Packers as an assistant quarterbacks coach in 2000. He eventually worked his way up to QBs coach before being hired by the Vikings as their offensive coordinator in 2006.

After five years in Minnesota, Bevell signed on with the Seahawks for the 2011 season and spent seven years in Seattle before he was fired in 2018. The Lions hired him as their offensive coordinator the next year.

Boycott Ford until they sell the Lions.
Fords are the ones responsible for the worst franchise in sports.

Unfortunately for lion fans, bevell has been horrible/ predictable on his play calling. Just against the Texans, hodgeson was prominent in an opening td drive .
Then (predictably) bevell decided to “fool” the opposition and go away from a td/promising game plan. Boy oh boy! Thank God he’s only “interim” , right Sheila?
