Lions head coach Jim Schwarz said that QB Matthew Stafford is “no more than day-to-day” after suffering an ankle injury in Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
After a fast start the Lions have hit some turbulence in recent weeks as they’ve lost two straight home games. It’s good news for the team that the injury wasn’t more severe as it’s been well documented that Stafford’s health is a key issue for the team.
But It’s not just Stafford that needs to remain healthy, it’s the rest of the team as well. Jahvid Best‘s injury has already impacted the teams offense and another key injury could really limit the effectiveness of their offense as opposing teams will adjust by doubling their remaining weapons.
