X-Rays Show Lions QB Matthew Stafford Doesn’t Have Right Hand Fracture

Lions HC Jim Caldwell announced after Sunday’s game that X-rays taken on QB Matthew Stafford‘s right hand showed that he does not have a fracture. Stafford is, however, dealing with a bruised throwing hand.

The Detroit Lions announced that QB Matthew Stafford is questionable to return to Sunday’s game against the Ravens with a right hand injury. Jake Rudock has replaced Stafford at quarterback for the time being.

Stafford had his hand stepped on by Ravens OLB Terrell SuggsIan Rapoport reports that Stafford is undergoing X-rays for his hand injury.

Stafford, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Lions back in 2009. He was in the final year of his five-year, $76.5 million contract when he and the Lions agreed to a record-setting five-year, $135 million extension this offseason.

In 2017, Stafford has appeared in 11 games for the Lions and thrown for 3,010 yards while completing 62.5 percent of his passes to go along with 21 touchdowns and six interceptions.
