Lions Re-Sign LB Anthony Pittman To PS, Release P Matt Wile

The Detroit Lions announced that they have re-signed LB Anthony Pittman to their practice squad and cut P Matt Wile to make room for him.

Detroit’s practice squad now consists of:

  1. TE Isaac Nauta
  2. T Matt Nelson
  3. LB Jason Cabinda
  4. WR Chris Lacy
  5. WR Travis Fulgham
  6. DE Jonathan Wynn
  7. WR Tom Kennedy
  8. RB Wes Hills
  9. Bo Scarbrough
  10. LB Anthony Pittman

Pittman, 22, signed on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Wayne State. He was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and was added to their practice squad once passing through waivers unclaimed.

The Lions elected to cut him from their practice squad last week to make room for Wile and RB Bo Scarbrough.

During his college career, Pittman recorded 181 total tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
