Lions Release G Stephen Peterman

Dave Birkett reports that the Detroit Lions will release G Stephen Peterman on Tuesday.

Peterman, 31, has started every game at guard for the last three seasons. He had a base salary of $2.65 million, so this will free up some much needed cash for their offseason plans.

According to Pro Football Focus, Peterman allowed the most combined sacks, hits and hurries of any guard in the league this season.

There’s no question that the Lions will continue to address their offensive line in the coming months.
